The Portuguese Water Dog Club of Greater Chicagoland and the Portuguese Water Dog Club of America are pleased to invite you to make your room reservations to attend the 21st National Specialty, which will be held September 29 - October 5, 2012.

Reservations will open at 9:00 a.m. Central Standard time on Saturday, January 7, 2012, at our Host Hotel and Specialty site, Geneva Ridge Resort, Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, and our non-dog sister site, located less than 3 miles away, The Inns of Geneva National.  Both lodging choices are located on Lake Como.

We have negotiated a room rate of $99 per night, for single or double occupancy, or $123 triple or quad occupancy, plus hotel and state taxes at both lodging locations.  Our National Specialty will open with Water Trials  on Saturday, September 29, 2012, at Fontana Beach, on pristine Lake Geneva, which is only 6 miles from either hotel.  Tracking is also planned for Saturday, at conveniently located AKC-approved sites. Then events will begin on Sunday...everything else onsite, at the Geneva Ridge Resort! We are planning some short and informative seminars on Sunday afternoon for performance dog enthusiasts, and our welcome party in the evening. Be assured that we will make this 21st Birthday Celebration one you will never forget!

If you are attending with dogs, Geneva Ridge is allowing a maximum of four dogs per room.  There will be a refundable $50 room deposit required at Geneva Ridge.  This deposit, along with first and last night lodging fees will be charged to your credit card when you make your reservation. Changes and cancellations may be made until July 15, 2012, after which time no changes will be permitted.  The remaining balance for your lodging will be billed to your credit card on July 29, 2012.  All dogs must be crated when left in the room, and dogs are not permitted on the furniture.  No grooming or bathing of dogs will be permitted in any hotel room. Plenty of grooming facilities will be provided in designated areas outside.

Amenities in every room at Geneva Ridge include Hair Dryer, Iron and Ironing Board, Flat screen TV, DVD Player, mini-fridge, In room safe, Wifi, and 2-cup Coffee Maker.

Judges, Speakers and guests without dogs will be accommodated at The Inns of Geneva National, a beautiful gated lodging facility on the renowned Geneva National Golf Course, next door to the Geneva National Country Club. No dogs will be permitted at this site, so if you are attending without dogs, treat yourself to this nearby serene and peaceful Inn, for the same low room rate.  Again, first and last night lodging fees and taxes will be billed to your credit card when you make your reservation.  Changes and / or cancellations may be made until July 15, 2012, after which time no changes will be permitted. The balance of your lodging will be billed to your credit card on July 29, 2012. 

Both the Geneva Ridge Resort and the Inns of Geneva National will be providing complimentary coffee and light breakfast items to hotel guests.  A full service restaurant is available for those who wish to purchase breakfast at the resort.

Onsite RV reservations and Golf cart rentals will be available, and information will be available soon.   One RV parking area will be on the lower level, near Lake Como, and the Chalet, where we have some of our events planned.  Generator power will be available at this location.  Additional RV parking will be available in front of the hotel.

There is a new PWDCA POLICY LIMIT OF 1 ROOM PER HOUSEHOLD. Violators of this policy will have all rooms over ONE cancelled by the Specialty Committee.  A valid credit card is required, with a expiration date later than June, 2012.  You must call to book. Do not book online.
