Communications

Welcome to the 2018 PWDCA National Specialty “Adventures in Frankenmuth” website! The communications team will do our best to keep you informed of new developments, updates, and information as it becomes available. We will offer several modes of communication to make it as easy as possible to get information, ask questions, and get answers and necessary documents.

This website will be the official website of the National Specialty. Here you will be able to see announcements, refer to the schedule, find contacts, get hotel information, download forms, premiums and other helpful documents, and place orders through the Specialty Store. Some of the the things you can order here include trophy and rosette sponsorships, cool merchandise from the store (with our awesome fun logo or the official logo), order Health tests and enter Specialty non-competition events for your PWDS, such as SuperDog, Parade of Seniors, Eye Clinic, CGC and Trick Testing, etc. You will also be able to register for dinners, seminars, meetings and other events through the storefront. The Store will offer different items at different times, so please be sure to pay attention to closing dates as they are published.

The Specialty website will provide access to documents like the Hotel Registration Form, the premiums for Conformation, Obedience, and Rally, the premium for the Water Trial, and the premium for the Agility Trials. Forms to register your dogs for Canine events not entered on AKC entry forms, and forms for human events, auction donations, and RV registrations will also be available on the website. Water Trial Entries May be completed through the Specialty website too. Therefore, it is important to check the website often and make sure you meet all deadlines. Deadlines are firm.

In addition to the website, we have set up a Facebook group, 2018 PWDCA National Specialty Group... Adventures in Frankenmuth. You can search for it in Facebook and ask to join. The Facebook media is an excellent forum to ask questions, have discussions, and share ideas. We may talk about what to pack or the weather forecast. There may be an opinion question asked about a tweak in the schedule. We may be looking for volunteers, and we need to make sure we have adequately provided enough information to attract the volunteers we need, answer questions, etc. we can also share new information here. Facebook is quick and easy to use, while the website is a bit more involved.

The PWDCA will post official blasts to the membership from time to time to ensure we are getting important information out to everyone, timely. When you see these blasts, consider this important news and please read thoroughly.

The PWD-L and PWDCA-L lists are also available as modes of communication to ask general Specialty questions. And, of course, see the Leadership Team contact list if you have a specific question for one of us, or if you would like to offer your services as a volunteer, or would like to sponsor an event financially. With all of these modes of communication available, we hope that everyone is comfortable asking their questions, and assured of timely responses.

Thank you all for participating.
